Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

I am Out-of-Network and do not accept insurance for treatment. There are several items to consider when deciding to use your insurance for mental health counseling. You can use your HSA and Flex card for payment of services. You can also call your insurance company to inquire about Out-of-Network benefits. I can supply you with a Superbill of services to submit to your insurance.

My child is resistant to coming to services. Is this typical?

It can be very common that children are resistant to coming to services when they are not sure what to expect. The first few sessions with your child, it is my goal to work hard at building a good rapport and trust with your child, help them understand that it is not a punishment to be there, and come to enjoy having a safe place to talk. Some children even come to find that they look forward to having that time carved out just for them with you.

What services do you offer?

Every family is unique and would benefit from a different structure of sessions. We will utilize our consultation and first session to identify what your family might benefit from. See more detailed services provided here. Reach out for a complimentary phone consultation to identify what services would be best for you and your family.

I think I need help, rather than my child. How can you help?

The Parent Psychoeducation sessions are an excellent resource for parents at every stage of parenting. They are structured to provide parents with a better understanding of parenting skills and strategies that can be implemented in your home for a positive benefit for everyone. My goal is to provide you with interventions you need to create a calmer, happier and emotionally healthy home environment.
